Our children are continually reaching out to see if we mom and dads really do love them.
When are we going to learn to say, “I love you” and “I am proud of you”?
Our children long to hear these words from us. They will continue to test us until they hear our words and believe them. Do you remember back in the day when you and I were children? How often did we hear words of love and encouragement?
Have you ever wondered what to do when your child says you don’t love them? Why does my child always ask me if I love her? What happens when a child doesn’t feel loved?
When are we going to learn to say, “I love you” and “I am proud of you”.
Here are ten things that our kids may do when they don’t feel the love from us.
- Yell, scream and talk back
- Engage in temper tantrums
- Wear unusual clothes
- Cut their hair
- Use vulgar language
- Start to use drugs
- Runaway from home
- Get bad grades in school
- Run around with their friends that we don’t approve of
- They may even start to steal
So, as moms and dads, we need to show more love to our children because they are gifts from God. Begin to say “I love you” and “I am proud of you” more often.
